Quick pizza rolls with pesto ♨ simply delicious!

If you like pizza, you will love the small, hearty pizza rolls with pesto. They are perfect for a movie night on the sofa, at children's birthdays or as a souvenir at parties. And even in lunch boxes, they are still fun the next day. You can let off steam for the filling - from olives to spinach leaves, diced peppers or thinly sliced zucchini, a lot is possible. You can also vary the cream, depending on whether you prefer tomato sauce or cream cheese. We had the version with pesto and crème fraîche. Our children loved it and we were able to use up the two kinds of pesto that we still had in the fridge - win win!

Ingredients

  • 400 G Spelled Pizza Dough (fresh ready-made dough)
  • 3 Tbsp Red pesto
  • 3 Tbsp green pesto
  • 3 Tbsp Creme fraiche Cheese (or sour cream)
  • 100 G grated cheese
Quantities for: 4 people

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to about 180 degrees according to the instructions.
    Oven 180 degrees
  • Mix half of the crème fraîche with the red and the other half with the green pesto. Lay the dough crosswise and coat half with the red and half with the green cream.
    Fold under the dough
  • Spread the grated cheese evenly on top. Now roll up the pizza dough tightly on the long side using the baking paper. Using a very sharp knife, carefully cut into slices about 1.5 cm thick and place on the grate lined with baking paper.
    Grate ginger
  • Bake the pizza rolls for about 15-20 minutes. They taste best when they are lukewarm!
    Bake for 30 minutes

Tips & Hints

Through the pesto you need no more spices more. In combination with the crème fraîche it is already that perfectly flavored, creamy mixture. The pizza snails are delicious even without crème fraîche, but then they are a little drier.
Simple pizza rolls with pesto
If you like the dough with tomato sauce or cream cheese brushed, then sprinkle with Italian herbs such as dried basil or oregano or an Italian frozen herb mixture and season with (chilli) salt. With herbal cream cheese and grated mozzarella you have a mild, child-friendly filling - corn with it and that Children will be delighted
Delicious pizza rolls with pesto
Also Hollandaise sauce with very finely chopped broccoli and sliced and sautéed smoked tofu is an absolute recommendation and fits wonderfully into these delicious pizza rolls!
